Academy

Our academy program runs during the school year from the first week of September to the last week of June. We offer a high-quality STEM/STEAM program for children and youth from Grades K-12 that is cohort/group based, hands-on with highly experienced and passionate instructors. We often hear from parents that we are the highest quality program they have found! We offer local school pickup from nearby North Vancouver schools.

We have been running high quality robotics programs for many years and help teach children and youth about teamwork and cooperation/competition in a safe environment where no initial experience is necessary. Participants learn about software, hardware, electronics, 3D design and fabrication and more! Each year, we run a First Robotics team that is some of the highest level learning your secondary school student can do.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

We are bombarded with AI messages of both over-enthusiasm and doom! We help youth navigate the exciting AI opportunities ahead while also ensuring an ethical framework and understanding of some of the valid concerns. We have been teaching AI for years in our programs by top-notch instructors but this year we are happy to announce we are launching a dedicated program for youth in Grades 7-12 starting September 6th!

We offer some of the most fun and educational STEM/STEAM camps available locally! Sign up for our professional development day camps, winter camps, spring or summer camps. A common phrase from students is “best camp ever!”

Field Trips

Join us for an exciting Maker Monday or Fabrication Friday field trip for classes in Grades 2 to 7. We offer programs where the class spends a half day at our Shipyards location and a half day at one of our nearby partners like the Inuit Gallery and the MONOVA Museum & Archives of North Vancouver and The Space Dance Workshop During the months of December to mid-March, you can combine your class field trip with a skate at the biggest outdoor skating rink in the Lower Mainland! Your class will cover valuable STEM/STEAM curriculum while having a great time. Pick up and drop off from local schools is available making the field trip convenient and affordable.

We have an ideal location for a memorable and fun birthday party! Many hundreds of children have participated and said it was their best party ever.

We also organize “Make and Skate” events from December to mid-March where families and companies can have a special event that combines a fun maker activity along with skating in the Lower Mainland’s biggest outdoor skating rink.
